Governance Module

Source: View on GitHub / Propose an edit

The Governance Module handles decision-making, authority management, roles, and change processes for cooperation infrastructure and federated organizations.

Organizations tend to accumulate power, opacity, corruption, and empty rituals as they grow. This design needs transparent, exit-compatible, and forkable governance.

  • Decision-making
  • Authority management
  • Roles
  • Voting
  • Proposals
  • Decisions
  • Fork procedures
  • Review and appeals
  • Control of personal beliefs
  • Forced participation
  • Permanent privileged classes
  • Irreversible closed-door decisions

Governance connects to all modules because it defines how rules change. It should not arbitrarily control welfare or economic access.

Early governance should use Issues, Pull Requests, Proposals, and Decisions as a lightweight process.

  • How can decision speed and transparency be balanced?
  • How can expertise and democratic legitimacy be balanced?
  • How should corrupt administration be detected?
